Building New Pathways for Sprinters Canberra Running Coach, January 22, 2025February 4, 2025 FAST Running Trains at the University of Canberra With Australia’s fastest athletics track recently unavailable for training, FAST Running adapted by taking its sprint sessions to the University of Canberra (UC). This move has not only provided a quality training environment but has also opened exciting opportunities for engaging with the university community and student-athletes. 🏃♂️ New Training Grounds, Same High StandardsThe transition to UC’s facilities has allowed our athletes—ranging from novices to national-level sprinters—to maintain their high-performance training while adjusting to a different surface and layout. Training in a university environment has also created opportunities for FAST Running to collaborate with students, sports science experts, and aspiring coaches, ensuring a cost-effective and supportive pathway for athletes at every level. 📚 Building Stronger Connections with UCFAST Running is committed to bridging the gap between community sport and high-performance training. By working with UC students and staff, we’re creating opportunities for emerging athletes to receive expert coaching, structured development programs, and exposure to elite training methods. 💡 Pathways from Novice to EliteThrough this engagement, we aim to provide:✅ Training options for UC students looking to enhance their speed and fitness✅ Support for beginners wanting to improve their running mechanics✅ Advanced coaching for elite sprinters aiming for national and international success While we look forward to returning to our usual training facility, our time at UC has strengthened our commitment to growing the sport and ensuring every athlete has access to high-quality coaching and development. A huge thank you to the University of Canberra for welcoming us—we’re excited to see how this partnership continues to grow! #FASTRunning #UniversityofCanberra #SprintTraining #RunningExcellence #AthletePathways Community FAST Track News Performance AdultsBelconnenMature TeensRunning TrainingSprintingUniversity of CanberraYoung Adults
