FAST50: Doing all the little things Canberra Sprint Coach, June 6, 2024June 6, 2024 When you describe the past month of training of the FAST50 project, it’s all been about doing all the little things. Building on from the small wins last month, FAST & Active’s Steve has focussed on strength and mobility, active recovery, bike cardio, and nutrition these last 4-weeks. This latest training wave (cycle) has shown plenty of positives with recently a single running session being included in the weekly program. The introduction has been a timely reminder of why Steve has been willing to work through all the little things in his attempt to run freely again. Following on from here will involve adapting the program to re-introduce core exercises, focus on single leg strength, improving hip mobility, and working towards a second running session in a week (aiming in 6-8 weeks time). The adaption will see greater continuity and more variability in training sessions as the new focusses are added to the existing program. Everyone has their own story. What is yours?
