Three from three Canberra Sprint Coach, March 14, 2024March 14, 2024 FAST Running is excited to announce the inclusion of our members Daniel Nwaboi, Nick Porter, and Nate Halpin in the ACT Team to compete at the Australian Athletics Championships in Adelaide (April 2024). All three of FAST’s nominations were accepted by the Selection Committee and it caps off an already bright start to the summer competition period for the squad. Nick’s selection represents his first senior Athletics Competition having previously only represented the ACT at Primary Schools Nationals. Nate’s inclusion is his first as an Open athlete and along with Daniel and Nick, he will be competing in the 100m, 200m and the Long Jump. Nate will be hoping to record a qualifying time for the Deflympics in all three of his events. Daniel hasn’t missed a team selection since he burst onto the scene as a 12-year old, and this is his 4th season of competing at Nationals (at all levels). In December, Daniel made the final of the 200m at All Schools and finished 9th in the 100m. He has since run faster times for both events in the lead-up to April. FAST Running has had a proud history of representatives at Nationals starting in 1997 who have enjoyed making National finals and winning medals.
