Southside speed clinic sets the pace Canberra Running Coach, April 23, 2024August 29, 2024 The South Canberra Accelerate: Canberra Sprint & Agility Clinic, was an outstanding success for the children aged 6 to 18 years who attended. Working with renown Canberra Sprint Coach, Steve Dodt, the Woden session at Curtin was the second Accelerate clinic held over the April School Holidays, with the first event conducted last Thursday at Aranda in Belconnen. FAST Running is Canberra’s only sprint group conducting clinics for children over the school holidays. Participants learned from the best in the sport on how to improve their running action and speed. Each Clinic provided the essential training in warming up, acceleration, agility, reaction time, and maximum speed development. Parents and children were deeply impressed “at how incredible the coaches were and how much” their children learned in the 2.5 hour session. Everyone raced away from the clinic having loved every moment and had an absolute ball. A number of families attended both clinics as they enjoyed the sessions and the friendly coaches so much. FAST Running is committed to providing school holidays for Canberra families. For those children looking to get between school terms, they do not need to wait, there are ongoing places available in the FAST Kids and FAST for Sport weekly programs.
