Hibernation is for bears, not sprinters Canberra Running Coach, May 20, 2024August 29, 2024 Right across Canberra this winter, FAST Running will be out in the wild, training to get stronger, better, and faster. With a variety of training sessions, sprinting has never been so much fun. Over the wintery weekend, the athletes endured sub-10 degrees weather as they passed bikes on Canberra’s hardest hill session, pushed the sled on Stromlo’s carpet like surface, and worked their quads in the gym beforehand just to make it all a little bit harder. During the week, FAST Kids are now training for school athletics and cross country. Sessions are available in Woden (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday), Ainslie (Monday and Wednesday), and Belconnen (Monday through to Friday). These are all in addition to the popular Sunday session and the Accelerate Clinics. For more information on training over winter please speak with Canberra Sprint Coach, Steve Dodt.
